NOPTA will release a new National Offshore Petroleum Information Management System (NOPIMS) website in October this year.
Redeveloped by NOPTA and in collaboration with Geoscience Australia and the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS), the new website improves online data access and the information systems covering all Australian offshore wells and survey information.
Users are able to access the spatial data via webservices from the NOPTA website or access data via OData links on the NOPIMS website. The new website is phase 1 of the project, with improvements ongoing.
