Following recent amendments to the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 (OPGGS Act) a suite of new and revised forms has been prepared to implement relevant changes.
NOPTA has also created a new NOPTA Forms Guidance–Greenhouse Gas and revised the existing NOPTA Forms Guidance–Petroleum.
The new and revised forms and forms guidance come into effect on 2 March 2022 but have been made available here to provide industry an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new material. Applicants and titleholders should note that from 2 March 2022, the new version of forms must be used.
Prior to 2 March 2022 the current forms must still be used, including the new work-bid petroleum exploration permit and work-bid greenhouse gas assessment permit application forms which came into effect 8 December 2021 and must be used for the acreage release rounds closing 3 March 2022 and 10 March 2022 respectively.
